Wong Yunjie (or Jacky) joined CARE as a Research Assistant in February 2022. Yunjie graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science and a Professional Diploma in Intercultural Theatre (Acting) from the Intercultural Theatre Institute.
Yunjie had extensive experience working on projects benefiting underprivileged, unseen and underserved communities in Singapore and Thailand before joining CARE. Over the course of his work, he has been a writer, educator and theatre-practitioner developing a passion for participatory practices that empower and enable people to express themselves with authenticity. At CARE, he hopes to bring his experience and passion to work on the Elderly life-Activity Space (EASE) project, a participatory research which will study life-activity spaces of older adults in Singapore and how it correlates with quality of life.
