This course aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of genetics and genetic testing. Participants would be able to understand the different aspects of genetics and the role of genetic testing as well as interpretation of genetic results.

Application of Clinical Genetics
Students will be able to understand the core knowledge and appreciate the applications of clinical genetics. Students will learn the clinical applications of clinical genetics. This course will highlight and consolidate the fundamental knowledge to enable the participants to identify patients who will benefit from genetic testing and to prepare them to provide genetic counselling.

The application and use of genetic counselling - a practical approach
This course provides students with practical experience in genetic counselling and variant curation through hands-on sessions. Students get to experience genetic counselling by role playing or with simulated patients. They will also have the opportunity to curate candidate variants identified in genomic testing.

- Student Service Fee (SSF): Students are required to pay an additional SGD25.70 per semester. In the event that students do not take any courses that semester, they would not have to pay this fee.

All requests for withdrawal must be received 6 weeks before the start of the course. Late withdrawals will be subjected to payment of the FULL course fees. Any access to learning materials (online preparatory materials and course materials) will be considered as participation and no refunds will be allowed.
