Life went on despite the rapid pace of the pandemic. Martin Linster, newly promoted to assistant professor, and his wife, Marina, welcomed a baby girl, Norah, as others on the Little Red dot were busy ushering in the Lunar New Year.
Norah was the first Lunar New Year baby delivered at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) in the Year of the Ox. She is the Linsters’ second child and little sister to Bruno, then three years old.
“Ushering in the Year of the Ox with renewed hope and endless joy! SGH’s first Lunar New Year baby was delivered at 2.41am this morning,” celebrated SGH’s social media team, not long after Norah’s birth.
“You should at least sit at the breakfast table with everybody before you leave again,” muses Linster about life’s unstoppable flow. “You can’t have the people who love you waiting forever.”
