Bio
Prof Fock is an clinical professor of Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore and a clinical professor with the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He was a master with the Academy of Medicine from 2008 to 2010. He was also chairman of the Medical Board of CGH (1999 – 2007). He has been president (2010 – 2014) and current board member of Asia Pacific Digestive Week Federation (APDWF) and counselor of APSDE.
Prof Fock has authored more than 180 papers and spoke at numerous Gastroenterology conferences and seminars. His research interests include H-pylori, GERD, gastric cancer, functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel disease. He has also authored consensus on H.Pylori Infection, gastric cancer and GERD. Prof Fock was named outstanding reviewer for GIE in 2015 to 2016 as well as 2016 to 2017.
Prof Fock has been a visiting professor at University of Arizona School of Medicine, Tuscon, USA since 2007 and University of Utah School of Medicine, Utah, USA since 2003. Prof Fock has fellowships at the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) as well as American College of Physicians (FACP) and Royal College of Physicians (FRCP – London & Edinburgh). He is a honorary fellow of The Hong Kong Society of Gastroenterology and has served on editorial board of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology.
