MISSION AND VISION

The Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC) was established in 2008 via a partnership with the Lien Foundation, the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), Singapore Health Services Group (SingHealth), and Duke-NUS Medical School.

Our organization's vision at LCPC is to be a world-class centre of excellence in palliative care research and education.

Led by a team of researchers and clinical faculty, LCPC works closely with clinician-scientists across the SingHealth-Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre and around the world to design and conduct high-quality research studies and provide rigorous training in palliative care to Singapore’s health care providers.

Since 2008, we have trained more than 5,500 health care professionals (HCPs) and produced over 207 peer-reviewed academic publications. LCPC also played a vital role in formulating the National Guidelines for Palliative Care, worked with Ariadne Labs to deliver Serious Illness Conversation (SIC) workshops to Singapore HCPs, was awarded the AM.EI award for its Palliative Care Course for Social Workers (PCCSW) and more.
