Brief Biography:

Dr Malhotra is an Associate Professor, Deputy Director of Research at Lien Centre for Palliative Care and Program in Health Services and Systems Research, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. She is a clinician-scientist focusing on research to improve the delivery of end-of-life care for patients with advanced serious illnesses and their caregivers. Her work currently focuses on two key themes - Advance care planning, and Caregiving for individuals with serious illnesses including those with dementia.

Dr Malhotra has published more than 140 scientific manuscripts in leading journals in the field of medicine, geriatrics and oncology. Her research has been funded by National Medical Research Council, Temasek Foundation, Agency for Integrated Care and National Kidney Foundation.  In 2022, she was awarded the Clinician Scientist Award by Singapore’s National Medical Research Council. She is an editorial board member for ‘Age and Ageing’. She regularly mentors students interested in doing palliative care research.
