Dr. Ka Lin is a Professor of social policy and social work in Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He is the acting director of The MSW Center (Social Work), and the head of Dept. of Social Security and Risk Management. He is also the Adjunct Professor at the University of Turku and Tampere University in Finland. He had also helmed several senior appointments including as the director of Social Work Department and the director of The Social Policy Research Center of Nanjing University, and deputy director in the Institute of Sociological Studies in Zhejiang University. He had also acted as the vice chair of the International Association on Social Quality, the vice chair of International Social Security Studies in the Chinese Social Security Association, the vice chair at the Social Policy Committee of the Chinese Association of Sociology, and the vice chair of Social Welfare Committee of the Chinese Labour Economics Association,and the board members of the Chinese Association of Social Work Education.
Professor Ka Lin is an expert of social policy, social work, and social administration. Professor Ka Lin undertaken numerous research projects including the future of social policy in China (The Chinese Foundation of Social Research, 2019), Social Innovation of Elderly care (The Worldwide Universities Network, 2018), the International Development of Community Work in Hangzhou (Hangzhou municipal government, 2018), and Research on Training the Teachers for the First Aid in the Red-cross Association (The Chinese Red-Cross Association, 2017), Social Support for Ageing Society (the Chinese Foundation of Natural Sciences, taking a sub-project, 2015), and Social Innovation: Driving Force of Social Change (EU project, a sub-project on employment and elderly care, 2013-2017).
