Daniel Gomes is a Professor of Immunology and Director of the Centre for Infectious Diseases at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil. With a PhD from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, 
co-supervised by Harvard, and postdoctoral studies at University College London. He has over 15 years of experience in infectious disease immunology. His research focuses on T cell differentiation, senescent cell impact on immune resolution, and wound healing in skin diseases, particularly American tegumentary leishmaniasis, using advanced technologies like multiplex immunofluorescence and omics analysis.
