Prof Thomas is an Infectious Diseases physician-scientist specializing in the study of viral diseases. He earned his Biomedical Ethics degree from Brown University, Medical Degree from Albany Medical College, and completed his Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases training at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Capital Consortium. Prof Thomas has been instrumental in the development of several vaccine candidates against dengue, Zika, MERS-CoV, Ebola, COVID-19, and others.
