Dr Chan Ling Ling is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Singapore General Hospital and an Associate Professor in the Radiological Sciences, Academic Clinical Programme and Neuroscience & Behavioral Disorders, Signature Research Programme, Duke-NUS Medical School.  She certified as a radiologist in 1996, and completed a double Neuroradiology fellowship in The Baylor College of Radiology and The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 1998-1999. Since joining the faculty at the Singapore General Hospital in 1996, she is active in the clinical Neuroradiology service. Over the years, she has distinguished herself as a diagnostic neuroradiologist, helming the joint Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Orbital Neuroradiology X-Ray Conferences and various Tumour Boards for more than 15 years now.  She works closely with the department MR physicists and radiographers, and has been instrumental in translating advanced Neuroimaging techniques into clinical service to address clinical problems.

Dr Chan is active in teaching and mentoring Residents and Fellows in Diagnostic Radiology, and Duke-NUS medical students. She has written over 120 publications in refereed journals, presented or co-authored more than 170 abstracts at local, regional and international conferences, and received or led more than 20 academic awards at these, including the Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America. She has multiple research interests, including the use of advanced Magnetic Resonance and CT Imaging in neurodegenerative and gait disorders, normal pressure hydrocephalus, brain tumors, stroke, spinal and orbital disease.  She is a PI, collaborator and recipient of multiple national grants and awards. She has held numerous administrative portfolios in the department over the years, including the Directors of Research and Clinical Services, before relinquishing the latter to concentrate on research as a BMRC/NMRC Clinical Scientist Investigator awardee in 2006.  She serves on the MOH research accreditation panel & is a reviewer for numerous prestigious journals and funding agencies. She was also the Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Radiological Society in 2000-2002.
