Program Description
Global Mental Health in Asia will provide learners with a foundational understanding of mental health across its spectrum in the Asian context. The course will focus on the specific challenges faced in Asia, explore promising Asian-led solutions, and engage with dedicated Asian stakeholders. It will address key considerations for identifying needs and gaps, assessing current global and regional strategies, and developing innovative and contextually-relevant solutions to bolster mental health in the region.

Practice of Global Health in Asia – An Introduction
Introduction to Global Health is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the main issues related to global health. The course will be global in coverage but with a focus on low- and middle-income countries, particularly in Asia. Attention to socio-economic determinants of health, the imperative for health equity, the role of health systems and the linkages between health and other multidisciplinary aspects will be maintained throughout the course. This course will also provide an overview of the most important health challenges facing the world today.

Approaches to Global Health Innovation
This course will focus on the application of a structured process for innovating within the Global Health context in resource constrained settings. It begins with a detailed analysis of the needs of the population and the main drivers that are contributing towards those needs within their local context. Applying design thinking principles, the participants then develop value propositions and come up with innovative ideas to solve the identified problems. Participants will then design appropriate delivery models to implement their solution within their respective contexts.

Bringing Global Health Innovations to Market
This course is designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary to effectively translate health innovations into market-ready products and services. The course is tailored for professionals in the healthcare, health technology, and related sectors, particularly those involved in research and development, communication, and management. Participants will develop a deep understanding of the various stages involved in bringing health innovations to market, including ideation, development, regulatory approval, and commercialization. They will learn to navigate complex global health landscapes, understand regulatory and compliance issues, and develop strategies for successful market entry and sustainability.

Adoption & Scaling in Global Health Innovations
This course emphasizes on healthcare innovation implementation, adoption and scaling, to deliver success in a transformational way from district to country, country to region, or from regional to global. It discusses the essential elements that affect the effective adoption and scaling of successful Global Health innovations to achieve impact, starting with having a Vision of Scale. It outlines the critical stages involved and the various strategies, processes, best practices, challenges and key influencing factors to ensure effective scaling of health innovations, with focus on resource-constrained environments. It examines the key considerations to achieve sustainability beyond the initial scaling of innovation.
Each individual course costs $5,400.00 subject to prevailing GST.

- Student Service Fee (SSF): Students are required to pay an additional SGD25.70 per semester. In the event that students do not take any courses that semester, they would not have to pay this fee.

All requests for withdrawal must be received 6 weeks before the start of the course. Late withdrawals will be subjected to payment of the FULL course fees. Any access to learning materials (online preparatory materials and course materials) will be considered as participation and no refunds will be allowed.
