Yessica Delvyna Salim
Senior Executive
Signature Research Programme in Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disorders (CVMD)
Office of Research

In the absence of a research administrative staff, Yessica stepped up and willingly took on the responsibility of managing grant-related matters for the Principal Investigators. She has demonstrated her commitment to maintaining financial accountability, optimising resource utilisation, and fostering responsible grant management within CVMD. Her practices support the successful execution of research projects and contributes to the overall success of the department's goals.

Her proactive approach, strong analytical skills and remarkable track record of grant utilisation demonstrates her capacity to excel in critical roles and ensure the continued success of the team. Her efforts have undoubtedly made a significant positive impact to the overall operations and outcomes of the grants.

Ekaterina Utkina
Executive
Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC)
Office of Research

Ekaterina has supported the Business Manager in providing support for the Centre's functions and also in a personal assistant role. In the absence of a Business Manager for nearly 3 months, she stepped into the role, learnt quickly and confidently took on complex tasks such as handling manpower projections and budgeting. On top of Ekaterina’s work ethic and ability to learn quickly, her commitment and tireless work has ensured business continuity.

Ekaterina has shown incredible patience and teamwork as she has also become the go-to person for the nearly 40 people in LCPC for all questions related to day-to-day operations of the Centre.

Tay Poh Choo
Senior Manager
Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (OIE)

Poh Choo’s experience with Duke-NUS processes and approvals is second to none and she has helped guide the OIE team through various budget, finance and procurement processes, and streamlined data reporting as the team ramped up operations and undertook new initiatives. Her attention to details and a firm grasp of the processes helps her team and stakeholders reduce the constant back and forth in communications, and helps to get things done efficiently and effectively.

As the OIE team continues to create and deliver unique programmes, services and events, Poh Choo continues to help advise and in some cases even seamlessly coordinate the work herself from the outset with all the requisite approvals and budget allocation prior to the execution of the tasks.

Congratulations to our Administrative Achievement Awards (AAA) 2023 Winner and Merit Recipients!
