Bio

Elaine LUM
BPharm, MClinPharm, PhD, FANZCAP

Dr Elaine Lum is Assistant Professor, Health Services & Systems Research at Duke-NUS Medical School and visiting faculty at the Centre for Population Health Research & Implementation (CPHRI), SingHealth, Singapore. She is an implementation scientist and health services researcher whose work has been enriched by frontline experience as a clinical pharmacist in several countries and real-world implementation projects within healthcare systems in Australia and Singapore.

Her current work in implementation research focusses on last-mile implementation of healthcare innovations — digital health, AI-assisted clinical decision-making, and new care pathways. Elaine’s research program on people-centred implementation investigates how to design for sustainment while right-sizing the process of implementation to efficaciously deliver desired outcomes.

She believes in the value and power of collaborating with people of integrity who do things differently and fail fast, to bring about game-changing practices and innovations for better patient care.
