Prof Chan is a Professor of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics and Research Professor of Statistical Science in the Division of Integrative Genomics of the Duke University School of Medicine. He graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1991 and obtained a PhD from University College London in 2002. His research interests are in computational immunology, statistical methodology for immunological laboratory techniques, and informatics of the immune system. He has won numerous grants for his research, including multiple grants awarded by the National Institutes of Health of the USA, and has published more than 100 papers in scientific journals.
