KHOO SCHOLARS PROGRAMME (KSP)

KSP is designed to help budding clinician-scientists in developing competitive grant proposals or publications over a period of 12 to 18 months. Each budding clinician-scientist is linked to scientific and quantitative mentors who will guide them in developing his or her research ideas into competitive grants. For Khoo Scholars who need pilot data, Khoo Pilot Award (KPA) grants are available for application. Khoo Scholars awarded with grants also have guidance on the execution of clinical research projects. In the programme, scholars get to work with their mentors to develop a grant application that will shape their long term clinical/transitional research career path. They can present their ideas on a regular basis through the research development seminars as well as meet up regularly with their mentors. The support is tailored to fit each scholar’s needs. Interested individuals should be ready to commit 30% of their FTE to develop their research.
