The Khoo Pilot Award (Collaborative) grant awards funding for collaborations among budding and early stage clinician-scientists. The funding encourages clinician-scientists to either collaborate among themselves or with their PhD-trained scientist counterparts to generate translational or clinical research that has potential for bench-to-bedside or bedside-to-bench applications. Successful applicants are awarded up to S$60,000 for a period of 2 years, to be shared between the two PIs.

Following a successful inaugural grant call in 2017, the Khoo Pilot Award (Collaborative) 2018 grant call was open for submissions during 15 June 2018 to 15 August 2018. The eligible submissions were reviewed by multidisciplinary grant reviewers, and 6 proposals were selected for award. A Grant Award Ceremony was held on 25 October 2018, where the awardees presented their winning proposals.
