Global Mental Health

Advancing mental health in Asia

The Global Mental Health field has evolved to emphasise that mental health is not simply a clinical or health-system issue: it is foundational to a just society. In Asia, despite the existence of regional frameworks, national strategies and promising innovations, mental health remains a stigmatised and neglected issue, with access to care and support programmes severely limited across the board.

Our Global Mental Health Programme aims to drive progress in mental health, enhance mental health awareness, and enable robust mental health ecosystems across Asia through advocacy, capacity-building, research, and networking.

Vision

To raise awareness on the importance of mental health and well-being and foster strong rights-based and equitable mental health ecosystems in South and Southeast Asia.
