Deborah is Deputy Director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) and the Centre for Outbreak Preparedness (COP), leading the business functions of both units.
Leveraging her previous role as Chief Operating Officer of a learning and development consultancy for the APAC region, Deborah’s knowledge and experience in regional operations allows her to lend strategic direction to the growth of SDGHI and COP
as she bridges the gap between vision and implementation.
As a trained teacher, Deborah’s passion is in education, having set up Project Happy Feet, a non-profit organisation that supports education and training of underprivileged children and youth in Asia. This alumna of the National University
of Singapore was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni Award by the university for her efforts, and was featured in Channel News Asia’s Asians of the Year in 2011. She was also a Singapore Women Award Honoree in the same year.
Combining her strengths in business and education, Deborah also serves con-currently as the Co-Lead of the Asian Institute for Healthcare Leadership & Management, a leadership knowledge platform
that seeks to elevate healthcare management excellence in Asia.
