Dr Wassim Nashabeh received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Oklahoma State University in 1993, and his post-doctoral fellowship from “Barnett Institute of Chemical and Biological Analysis” at Northeastern University.  In 1996, Dr Wassim Nashabeh joined Genentech as a Scientist and had since held several positions of increasing responsibilities including Associate Director, Methods validation group, Director Quality Control Clinical Development, Sr. Director in the CMC Regulatory Affairs Group, and most recently as Vice President, Technical Regulatory Policy and International Operations for the Roche Pharmaceutical Group.  In this capacity, Dr Wassim has oversight of all technical outreach activities with global health authorities, industry associations and scientific organizations.  

Dr Wassim is an assembly member of the International Council on Harmonization (ICH) on behalf of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), and has been a member of several ICH Expert Working Groups including Q3D, Q11 and Q12.  Wassim is also the President of the CASSS Board of Directors, an international non-profit scientific society, and a member of several advisory boards including the APEC harmonization Centre, Northeastern University Bio therapeutics Centre of Excellence and the chair of the CMC Forum Global Steering Committee. Dr Wassim is the author of over 30 scientific publications, reviews and patents in the fields of separation science and biotechnology.
