2016 Executive Programme: Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Associate Professor John Lim, Executive Director of CoRE was invited by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy to facilitate a session on 21st July 2016 at the “Executive Programme on Excellence in Governance and Public Policy: The Singapore Experience”.
In his joint capacity as Executive Director of CoRE and Deputy Director of Medical Services (Industry & Research Matters) in the Singapore Ministry of Health, Prof Lim conducted a three hour session on the topic of “Regulatory Compliance and Accountability in Singapore’s Health System”. This covered the approach to regulation in Singapore’s healthcare system, an overview of risk-based regulation and the appropriate use of different tools for “smart” regulation of practice and products, and discussions on practical application of the concepts.
Over 50 members of the Indian Administrative Service attended the programme designed to provide public sector leaders the opportunity to develop skills to thrive in a complex, fast-changing world.
