The Centre would not be the academic hub of regulatory science today were it not for Sir Alasdair’s vision for CoRE and his belief in the Graduate Certificate Programme. Because of his inquisitive spirit and passion to keep up with the latest advancements in regulatory science, learning never stops at CoRE, as we enhance the curriculum with new and improved modules to broaden the horizon of the region’s regulatory and healthcare professionals. Participants can look forward to a lifelong learning journey that enables them to advance their competencies and remain future-ready in a rapidly evolving world.
More importantly, in line with Sir Alasdair’s interest in promoting capacity building and professional excellence in the region, we have established a study award fund in his honour. All contributions to the Alasdair Breckenridge Fund will cultivate the talents of professionals from developing ASEAN and Asia-Pacific national regulatory authorities, ministries of health, and related organisations to enrol in courses run by CoRE to enhance their professional development, and subsequently strengthen the regulatory capacity of their organisations. Through these study awards, the Centre will translate our donors’ investment in the future of healthcare into meaningful and actionable change for the region and its people, as we work towards a healthier future for Asia-Pacific.
