Gender & OHCA Group (GOG)

Gender & OHCA Group (GOG) is a collaboration between Duke-US and Duke-NUS to take a deep dive on the OHCA care and Gender Disparity.

Dr Fahad Siddiqui and Dr. Sungwon Yoon from Duke-NUS Medical School and Dr Audrey Blewer from Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine started working to take a look at various aspects that contribute to the differences in the OHCA outcomes for men and women.

The group was working together since late 2022 and since then two grants have been obtained for a survey and a emergency call-centre based study.

A few abstracts have been published.

The groups meets every 3 months to evaluate progress and share new ideas.

Seoul-Osaka-Singapore (SOS)

Seoul-Osaka-Singapore (SOS) collaboration aims to compare and contrast the Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest care and its effects on the patient outcomes in the three geographies capitalizing OHCA databases of their respective jurisdictions. Dr. Ki Jeong Hong from Seoul National University, Dr Yohie Okada from Osaka University and Dr Fahad Siddiqui from Duke-NUS Medical School, under the leadership of Prof Marcus Ong joined hands to carry forward OHCA research in the region. The collaboration alleviates the data access challenges permitting comparative analysis revealing issues that either need further research or can be the intervention targets. Two publications have been produced and are in press as of Sept 2024. The groups meets every 2 months to continue exploring new aspects of OHCA care.
