Welcome to the Cardiac Supportive Care Course (Interdisciplinary)!
First Singapore Cardiac Supportive Care Interdisciplinary Course

A 3-day interdisciplinary course is specially designed to equip healthcare professionals caring for patients with advanced cardiac illnesses with the basic supportive care skills and knowledge to integrate into their practice. The trainers in this course range from experienced cardiologists to doctors, nurses and pharmacists from the field of palliative care. The content is presented through interactive lectures, discussions and role play activities.

This is a blended learning course where participants will be able to access mini-presentations, assessments, video clips and other resources via the Duke-NUS Learning Management System.

Registration will be open from 30 Jul 2024 till 13 Sep 2024, or when maximum capacity has been reached, whichever earlier.

Face-to-Face teaching sessions: 16 - 18 Oct 2024, 8am to 5pm.

E-learning will start from 2 Oct, prior to F2F sessions and will remain open till 25 Oct.

Course Fee: S$ 700 before 9% GST

This course is highly subsidized and participants may have to bear the full course fee of S$ 700 under any of the following circumstances:

(i) Withdrawal from the course on or after course start date
(ii) Failure to fulfil a minimum attendance of 80% for the teaching sessions
(iii)Failure to complete and pass all prescribed coursework and assessments for the course

Accreditation & Certification

Continuing education credits are available for LCPC events through the Singapore Medical Council (SMC), Singapore Nursing Board (SNB), Singapore Pharmacy Council (SPC) and the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), subject to their respective approvals.

Attendees who wish to earn credits are required to sign the relevant registration form along with their CPE/CME number on the day(s) of the events (for face-to-face events).

The attendee’s registration details will be submitted after the event and credited upon receiving respective approvals.

Course participants will be awarded with an e-Certificate of Completion at the end of the course*.

*The e-Certificate of Completion will only be awarded to participants who achieved at least 80% attendance for face-to-face teachings and completion of all coursework (including assessments and evaluation)

Doctors (e.g. Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Medicine and GPs etc.), Nurses, Pharmacists, MSWs, Transplant and Heart Failure Coordinators, Therapists.

Prerequisites

Current or anticipated future practice includes caring for patients living with advanced cardiac illnesses.
