Clinical Practicum

The 3-day clinical practicum will expose participants to various clinical settings (home hospice, inpatient hospice and day hospice). This allows participants to assess different palliative care needs for patients and families across the care continuum, and apply the skills they have learned during the course.

Course Duration: 5 days

• 2 full days of Face-to-Face teaching sessions
• 3 full days of clinical practicum

Upcoming Course Run: 28 and 29 August 2024, 8.30am to 5pm (Face-to-Face teaching sessions) + 3-day clinical practicum, 8am to 5pm

Clinical Practicum Dates (choose one of the options)

Participants are required to achieve a 100% attendance for the 3-day clinical practicum. Kindly note that the dates for the clinical practicum are not consecutive to the face-to-face teachings. Any changes to the clinical practicum dates will be reflected on the registration sheet, and also informed to the participants after successful registration.

• 3, 4 and 5 Sep 2024
• 10, 11 and 12 Sep 2024
• 17, 18 and 19 Sep 2024
• 24, 25 and 26 Sep 2024
• 1, 2, and 3 Oct 2024
• 8, 9 and 10 Oct 2024

The course will officially start on 31 July 2024 with the elearning portion.
Participants are required to complete the online coursework before the teaching sessions, done at your own pace.

Course Fee: SGD 300 inclusive of 9% GST

Venue: Assisi Hospice, 832 Thomson Rd, Singapore 574627

This course is highly subsidized and participants will have to pay the full course fee of S$ 300.00 under any of the following circumstances,

1. Withdrawal from the course on or after course start date
2. Failure to fulfil a minimum attendance of 80% for the teaching sessions and 100% of the clinical practicum
3. Failure to complete and pass all prescribed coursework and assessments for the course

• This course is pending accreditation by the Singapore Nursing Board for at least 8 CPE points for full attendance.
• Course participants will be awarded with an e-Certificate of Completion at the end of the course*.

* The e-Certificate of Completion will only be awarded to participants who achieved at least 80% attendance for face-to-face teachings, 100% attendance for clinical practicum and completion of all coursework (including assessments and evaluations).

Registered Nurses who are interested in learning more about the principles and practices of palliative care.

• Proficiency in the English language
