Welcome to SPLICES: Serious Illness and Palliative Care Education in Surgery!

Join us in this this inaugural SPLICES workshop, jointly organised by the Lien Centre of Palliative Care (LCPC), the Surgery Academic Clinical Program (ACP) and the Division of Surgery and Surgical Oncology (DSSO), where we aim to splice and integrate principles of palliative care in the management of seriously ill patients in surgery.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

Understand the principles and role of palliative care for patients with serious illness under the care of surgical teams.
Understand the indications and types of palliative surgical procedures and principles around peri-operative care for adults with serious illness.

Day 1 (F2F): 8.30am - 5.30pm, and
Day 2 (on Zoom): 9.00am - 11.00am

Workshop Fee:

SGD 200 before GST *special fees for our inaugural run in July 2024!

Please be informed withdrawal from workshop must be made in writing for refund of fees.

Accreditation & Certification

Continuing education credits are available for LCPC events through the Singapore Medical Council (SMC), Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) and Singapore Pharmacy Council (SPC) subject to their respective approvals.

Attendees who wish to avail of the credits are required to sign the relevant registration form along with their CPE/CME number on the day(s) of the events (for face-to-face events).
The attendee’s registration details will be submitted after the event and credited upon receiving respective approvals.
Workshop participants will be awarded with an e-Certificate of Completion at the end of the workshop*.

*The e-Certificate of Completion will only be awarded to participants who achieved at least 80% attendance for face-to-face teachings and completion of all coursework (including assessments and evaluation)
