Dr. Srinivasan Kellathur obtained his degrees of MSc (Biochemistry) and MPhil (Biochemistry) in India and PhD in Singapore. His post-doctoral training on DNA vaccines for infectious diseases was at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHU SOM) and Division of Biomedical Sciences, Johns Hopkins Singapore. He was also a visiting scientist at JHU SOM and the Institute for Infocomm Research, A-STAR.
Dr Kellathur is currently the Regional Regulatory Policy Lead APAC, Pharma Technical Regulatory at Roche Singapore. He was previously the Director, Advanced Therapy Products Branch at the Singapore Health Sciences Authority, where his work involved drafting of regulations and policy reviews of cell, tissue and gene therapy products. He is also the Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE).
Dr Kellathur is the lead for regulatory convergence initiative of the APEC regulatory harmonization steering committee in the area of Advanced Therapies and Technologies. He is a member of the national mirror working group of ISO technical committee on Biotechnology, one of the Vice Presidents of the Asian Cellular Therapy Organization and programme committee, Global Regulatory Perspectives workshop, International Society for Cellular Therapy. He sits on several national and international advisory committees, including APEC Harmonisation Centre Advisory Board, Ministry of Health Singapore Advisory Committees on Therapeutic Biobanking and human tissue research.
