Bio
Sasha joined the qualitative team at Duke-NUS Medical School in 2018, bringing with her a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is deeply interested in exploring the causes and consequences of poverty among older Singaporeans, older adults’ unmet social needs, and interventions that empower them. Her research focuses on concepts of empowerment and self-efficacy in old age, generativity, loneliness, and longevity. Sasha's involvement in various projects reflects her commitment to improving the wellbeing of older persons.
At CARE, Sasha has managed and contributed to numerous qualitative studies that advance academic understanding and inform practical interventions addressing the complex needs of older adults in Singapore. Her dedication to enhancing the lives of vulnerable populations continues to drive her research and professional efforts.
