The Centre for Career Readiness (CCR) serves as a dynamic catalyst for the professional development of Duke-NUS early career researchers (ECRs), offering a multifaceted support system designed to empower individuals to thrive in their academic and professional pursuits.
CCR is focused on five key areas of professional development:
1) research skills, productivity, and impact;
2) career path readiness;
3) communication and collaboration;
4) leadership and management; and
5) wellbeing and resilience.
Through a comprehensive range of initiatives, CCR aims to equip ECRs with the skills, networks, and resources necessary to navigate the complexities of today's career landscape, enabling them to achieve their full potential in both research and non-research career paths.

CCR Key Objectives
- Centralise and coordinate career readiness courses and programmes in Duke-NUS and maintain a training calendar.
- Encourage personal and professional growth of ECRs through established coaching and developmental plan frameworks.
- Develop a community of ECRs for stronger networking and more effective resource sharing on diverse career paths.
- Provide strategic guidance and coordination, in consultation with an advisory committee which will determine course offerings in Duke-NUS.
- Ensure programme quality assurances and processes are in alignment with NUS.
