The Duke-NUS Health Innovator Programme (DHIP) is a first-of-its-kind programme in Singapore that assembles a multidisciplinary student team to work on a critical unmet clinical need, while being closely mentored by dedicated industry & clinical mentors.
Made up of a medical student, an engineering student and an MBA student, each team starts with a validated critical unmet clinical need. With their diverse expertise, each team creates a work-like prototype, under the close mentorship of experienced industry and clinical mentors. Their innovation journey culminates in a business pitch - "shark-tank style" - to a panel of judges on Dazzle Day, DHIP's graduating event. All within nine months.
Through our immersive innovation education programme, DHIP aims to:
Encourage innovation with a a problem-solving mindset, to solve healthcare problems.
Empower students with an entrepreneurial mindset.
