3D Printing

3D Printing

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a transformative process that creates a physical object from a digital design by layering materials on top of each other. The ability to rapidly prototype and customize objects has made 3D printing an invaluable tool for innovation within DukeNUS

3D Printing Overview

The 3DPP Lab is dedicated to supporting extensive teaching, research, and innovation activities through its in-house prototyping capabilities. Specializing in 3D printing, silicone molding, and electronics prototyping, these resources facilitate a broad spectrum of projects, enabling both students and clinicians in their research endeavors. Our focus on fostering creativity and collaboration ensures that the lab serves as a dynamic hub for exploring innovative solutions across various disciplines.

3DPP Projects

At the 3DPP Lab, students explore transformative projects within the healthcare and innovation space, such as 3D Printing for surgical planning. Moreover, the lab collaborates closely with clinicians to enrich educational experiences and training initiatives, focusing on specialized areas like Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and simulator development. These partnerships not only foster interdisciplinary learning but also drive impactful research aimed at addressing real-world healthcare challenges effectively.
