Education Innovation

Throughout the years, Duke-NUS has established itself as a pioneering and progressive medical school. One of the first medical schools to introduce Team-based Learning as its main pedagogical approach, we also developed our own in-house Simulated Patient program, introduced a holistic longitudinal C.A.R.E Program as part of our integrated curriculum, and support a rigorous Research and Scholarship third year. As we strive towards a patient-centric medical education, we are continuing to innovate and leverage on a range of educational technologies to enhance our students learning.

Education Innovation at Duke-NUS focuses on enhancing our current MD curriculum, practice and pedagogy. Domains include Team-based Learning, Technology-enhanced Learning, 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, Learning and Data Analytics, Simulation and Serious Gaming, Pedagogical Research, Quality Assurance, Programme Evaluation and Faculty Development. To maintain our reputation as an innovative and progressive medical school, we will continue to develop our scholarly understanding of all aspects of medical education theory and practice. This will allow us to create new insights, develop new educational approaches, pedagogies, techniques, and technological innovations to transform medical education.
