Ms Karen Chang is Senior Vice Dean and Group Director of the Office of Corporate Services. She manages the departments of Board Secretariat, Communications, Corporate Administration, Development, Facilities Planning, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Organisational Excellence and Risk Management at the Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS).

An alumna of National University of Singapore (Accountancy), Ms Chang is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Prior to joining Duke-NUS in 2012, Ms Chang spent 15 years with various companies in the Government of Singapore-owned conglomerate and investment group, Temasek Holdings, where she held various senior regional management roles. Ms Chang was Vice President (Finance) for one of Temasek’s subsidiaries in Information Technology, Data and Systems Security. Prior to that, Karen had been involved in many of Temasek’s companies’ corporate restructurings, rationalisation, initial public offerings (Singapore Technologies Group), as well as the development of corporate governance and stewardship frameworks.

Ms Chang has many years of experience in Management and Corporate Finance, General Administration, Business Development, Business Process Management and Streamlining, Regional Mergers and Acquisitions, and Corporate Governance. She has held key roles with multinational corporations, locally-listed companies, and Singapore government-linked companies in Financial Futures, Manufacturing, Retail, Media, Systems Security, Investment Holdings and the Biomedical Science Industries.
