Education Qualifications: MBBS (Q'ld), M Med (Paeds), FAMS, FRACP, FRCPCH

Clinical Professor Phua is actively involved in clinical service, research and both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and examinations. He was officially appointed by NUS as a clinical teacher in 1972.  He was the Paediatric ACP Education Vice Chairman from 2011 to 2018.  Following which he became the Advisor to Paediatric ACP.

He chaired KKH Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee from 2001 to 2014 and acted as an advisor from 2014.  He is now co‐chairing the MAF plus. He is a medical advisor for Club Rainbow.  He also serves in the Research and Residential Home (Sunbeam Place) Subcommittees of Singapore Children Society.
