Bio

Jing Wen joined Centre for Ageing Research and Education (CARE) as a Research Fellow in July 2023. In CARE, she works on falls- related project that aims to implement a multicomponent and tailored falls prevention intervention among ageing population with fall risk in Singapore. She is passionate about research that focuses on the ageing population. 
Jing Wen received her Ph.D. in Health Sciences (Physiotherapy) from National University of Malaysia. In her Ph.D. studies, she came up with a valid and reliable fall risk self-screening mobile application among older adults, to improve awareness and prevention behavior with regards to falls prevention strategies among older adults in community settings. She has great experience in assessing fall risk and delivering falls related prevention information to older adults, families and other healthcare professionals. She also contributed to the design of falls prevention education package with the ultimate goal of upgrading the fall risk assessment mobile application for a wider usage in future.
