Bio

Dr Koh graduated from University of Aberdeen in 1991. He completed his specialist microbiology training at the Singapore General Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. He subsequently obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Microbiology (London), as well as a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (London). He was conferred both FRCPath and FRCPA fellowships in 2000. In 2006 he did a HMDP Fellowship on the ‘Detection and Characterization of Novel Types of Antimicrobial Resistance in Gram-Negative Bacilli under the supervision of Dr Yoshikazu Ishii at Toho University, Tokyo, Japan. This was followed in 2008 by an attachment to Leiden University Medical Centre under the supervision of Dr Lenie Dijkshoorn to study the molecular epidemiology of Acinetobacter spp.
