Bio
A/Prof Caroline Lee obtained her PhD in Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine and did her postdoctoral training with Michael Gottesman at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (NCI/NIH). She returned to Singapore to become a faculty at the National University of Singapore with concurrent appointments as Assoc Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School as well as Principal Investigator at the National Cancer Centre. She is currently the Deputy Executive Director (Admissions) at the NUS Graduate School of Integrative Sciences and Engineering and is in the Admissions Committee at Duke-NUS Medical School. Her research interests is in functional genomics of hepatocellular cancer, population genetics, and employing high throughput next generation sequencing strategies for understanding disease processes, biomarker discovery, diagnostics and metagenomics. She has more than 100 publications with several reviews and opinion articles.
