Bio
Dr Lim studied locally at the National University of Singapore, graduating in 1985. After obtaining his fellowship in Radiology (FRCR UK) he went on to sub-specialise in Neuroradiology and Neurointervention in Oxford UK in 1996, returning to establish the Neurointerventional service at the Singapore General Hospital. Together with the Neurointerventional Team, @ SGH, he introduced many treatments in the field into Singapore and has mentored a generation of Neurointerventional radiologists. While running the interventional service, Dr Lim was also section Chief of the Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Section at SGH from 1998 -2005 and 2006 to 2020.
At Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore, he co-ordinated the Clinical Radiology programme when he was the programme lead and is the immediate past Programme Director for the SingHealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency. He currently is the Director of the Post Graduate Medical Institute, Singapore General Hospital, co-ordinating post graduate fellowships and overseeing the Education resource Centre.
He was recently awarded the College of Radiologists Singapore and Singapore Radiological Society “Life Time Achievement Medal 2023”.
His interests include all facets of neurointervention and neuro-vascular imaging.
