Bio

Wong Yunjie (or Jacky) has been a Research Assistant with CARE since 2022. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science in 2007 and holds a Professional Diploma in Intercultural Theatre (Acting) from the Intercultural Theatre Institute. 

Yunjie has had extensive experience working on projects involving underprivileged, unseen and underserved communities in Singapore and Thailand. Over the course of his work, he has served as a writer, educator and theatre-practitioner developing a passion for participatory practices that empower and enable people to express themselves with authenticity. At CARE, he has overseen the completion of the Elderly Life-Activity Space (EASE) project, a research study that incorporated the “go along” interview, a participatory research element that he is excited about.
