Bio
Dr Guo Changming is a senior consultant and practising orthopaedic surgeon in Singapore General Hospital. His subspecialty interests include minimally invasive spinal surgery (decompression, TLIF, Kyphoplasty), scoliosis surgery and cervical disc arthroplasty. He did his fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He is currently a Visiting Consultant at both the Kadang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the School Health Service. Other than his clinical work, Dr Guo has a keen passion for both teaching and research. He currently teaches both at the Duke – NUS Medical School and the National University of Singapore. He has also been an invited speaker at several regional conferences. He has organized many spine related basic and speciality courses. He was awarded the National Medical Research Council award to do research at Harvard Medical School. His research interests include tissue engineering with human mesenchymal stem cells and fabrication of injectable bone cements with chitin-based biomaterials.
