Bio
A/Prof Alethea Yee is a specialist in Palliative Medicine and a Senior Consultant at the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care (DSPC) at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. She was Head of DSPC from 2011-2018 during which she oversaw a huge expansion of DSPC into service, education and research arms. On stepping down as Head, she was seconded to Assisi Hospice as a Clinical Director from Aug 2018 to July 2023. In 2020, with the formation of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Support-ive and Palliative Care Centre, a platform to bring together the various palliative care services with-in SingHealth in a strategic and coordinated approach, A/Prof Yee took up the post of Deputy Director.
On the education front, A/Prof Yee is the Education Director of the Lien Centre for Palliative Care Centre (LCPC), Duke-NUS GMS from 2014, as well as founder member of the national Subspecialty Training Committee for Palliative Medicine from 2007. From April 2023, she is appointed Chair of SSTC (Palliative Medicine) to oversee the national training of palliative medicine specialists.
