Associate Professor Soh Chai Rick (Academic Chair, Anaesthesiology & Perioperative Sciences Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Associate Professor Lu holds leadership roles in various committees at the Hospital, Cluster and National levels throughout his career. He has facilitated many changes, improved hospital operations and utilisation of resources to benefit patients. He treats patients of all classes with the same concern and holds that same standard when interacting with colleagues and junior doctors. He is also an avid educator, who aims to not only develop students in clinical excellence, but also a strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and compassion.

Clinical Professor Ng is one of the top haematologists in Singapore and a well-known expert in coagulation in the Asia Pacific region.  He has held several leadership roles in professional societies and is highly committed to patient safety and quality assurance in patient care. He is heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, and also actively involved in education for nurses and pharmacists. He serves as a good role model for both students and doctors. 

Associate Professor Loo Chian Min  (Academic Chair, Medicine Academic Clinical Programme)

Professor Ong is a renowned clinician-scientist who has pioneered research resulting in tangible healthcare benefits, such as implementation of policies that increased the survival of patients with out of hospital cardiac arrest by more than ten-fold over a 16-year period. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led a multidisciplinary research team to minimise effects of the disease outbreak on Singapore health systems’ outcomes through understanding system-wide effects using data and computer simulation techniques, leading to informed policy decisions. 

Clinical Professor Goh Siang Hiong (Academic Chair, Emergency Medicine Academic Clinical Programme)

Associate Professor Ong dedicates time and effort to help shape the landscape of tomorrow’s medicine and moulds the future generation of doctors. He fosters an environment of encouragement and has consistently earned outstanding feedback from medical students and residents. He continuously hones his pedagogical skills in pursuit of excellence and seeks to contribute to surgical knowledge through personal research and collaboration in pursuit of better clinical and patient outcomes. 

Clinical Associate Professor Ho Sun Sien, Henry (Academic Chair, Surgery Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Associate Professor Ong enjoys teaching, coaching, and mentoring students and younger colleagues in their professional development, giving them opportunities to grow and helping them maximise their potential. A strong advocate in developing educators, she actively promotes and facilitates faculty development workshops. She has also worked to build on the educators’ education portfolios, as well as recognise their efforts and contributions to education. Her infectious passion for education continues to inspire other colleagues to follow in her footsteps. 

Clinical Associate Professor Goh Bee Tin (Academic Chair, Oral Health Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Professor Sam, as he is fondly known, was instrumental in advancing clinical care and achieving new frontiers in the field of Neonatology. He has significantly enhanced the reputation of the department in the region and beyond. He has also contributed and provided advice in areas, such as prenatal-neonatal care, neonatal resuscitation, intensive care and ventilation, and infection control through systematic training and humanitarian missions in China, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, and Myanmar. 

Clinical Associate Professor Thoon Koh Cheng (Academic Chair, Paediatrics Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Associate Professor Tay demonstrates commitment and professionalism in his clinical care of patients and his role as an educator. He was instrumental in building education capabilities at SingHealth Polyclinics. Some of his efforts include starting of medical pedagogy training, systematic training of family physicians, setting up feedback system to continuously improve programmes for medical students, promoting and advocating for faculty development. He continues to strengthen Family Medicine training both in Duke-NUS and nationally through his varied appointments and involvements. 

Clinical Assistant Professor Ng Chee Chin, David (Academic Chair, Family Medicine Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Professor Tay is an extremely well-respected and talented clinician, who epitomises his philosophy of “Service before Self” in numerous appointments. He practises at the highest level in the field of interventional radiology, readily taking on difficult cases with consistent good outcomes and his advice is often sought in managing complex cases. He has also achieved academic excellence that is well-recognised internationally, both in research and education, and also has six patents to his name.
