Research Grand Rounds: Biodiversity Medicine for Human Health
How does biodiversity of nature and in environment impact treatment for diseases or promote health and wellness?
At our next Research Grand Rounds on 29 Sep 2021, 12.30pm to 1.30pm, Prof Teh Bin Tean, Director, SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Biodiversity Medicine (BD-MED) and Co-Director, SingHealth Duke-NUS Regenerative Medicine Institute of Singapore (REMEDIS), will discuss the applications of biodiversity to promote all aspects of human health and wellness through BD-MED’s 3 signature programmes: Herbal Biodiversity and Medicine, Food Biodiversity and Nutrition, and Urban Biodiversity and Wellness.
Prof Teh is concurrently the Deputy Director (Research) at National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), and has recently been awarded the 2021 Japanese Cancer Association (JCA) International Award.
Facilitating our Q&A session is Prof Lim Shih Hui, Head, Traditional and Complementary Medicine Branch, Ministry of Health (MOH) and Senior Consultant, Department of Neurology, National Neuroscience Institute (NNI).
