Contemplating in pursuing medicine and/or research after your first degree? Discover a Scientifically Rewarding Career in Medicine through our Duke-NUS Medical School’s programmes. Did you know over 70% of Duke-NUS medical students have a background in science? It’s true – those with backgrounds in science are well-suited for a career in medicine.
Whether your specialty is physics, chemistry or biology, you’ve honed your skills in questioning the world around you, formulating hypotheses and designing experiments to test them. This type of critical thinking will benefit you hugely in the medical field, where each patient presents a new opportunity to observe symptoms, consider various diagnoses and narrow down possibilities.
Meet our Associate Dean Prof London Lucien Ooi, who will be speaking on Duke-NUS Medical School’s MD programme. He will be elaborating on the MD Curriculum and the classroom experiences with the aim that interested applicants can prepare better for curriculum ahead before embarking on the MD programme. Our students will also be sharing about their experiences in the current MD curriculum.
