Bio

​Dr Chan Lai Peng is a Senior Consultant Radiologist with the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. She was the immediate past Head of Department for Diagnostic Radiology from 2016 to 2023.

She obtained her fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 1997 and did fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology in Vancouver General Hospital in 2001. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, a member of the Singapore Radiological Society, Asian Musculoskeletal Society and Medical Ultrasound Society. Dr Chan also holds a Clinical Lecturer appointment from the National University of Singapore.

Her subspecialty interest is in musculoskeletal imaging, especially imaging of sports injuries, multiple myeloma and musculoskeletal tumours. Her current research projects include MR imaging of multiple myeloma, gated 4D CT scanning of the wrist for detection of instabilities, and post marketing survey of Ultravist. She has won awards for the best free paper at the 7th Annual Scientific meeting of the Singapore Radiological Society and the First International Conference on Evidence-based Medicine. She has given lectures in both international and regional conferences.

Dr Chan’s current interests are in musculoskeletal radiology, ultrasound and medical informatics.
