Bio
I am currently working as a senior consultant in pediatric critical care medicine at the Children's Intensive Care Unit, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore. I completed by basic and advanced pediatric training in Singapore. I was admitted into membership for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom in 2005 and obtained my pediatric specialist accreditation in Singapore in 2009. I did my advanced pediatric critical care medicine and research fellowship at Duke Children's Hospital, Durham and Duke Clinical Research Institute, Durham, respectively from 2011 - 2012. Upon return of my advanced clinical fellowship, I completed the Master’s in Clinical Investigation at the National University of Singapore in 2014.
Over the past 5 years, I have focused on clinical research and have planned, executed and completed numerous clinical studies. My main research areas include pediatric critical care epidemiology, severe pediatric respiratory illness and critical care nutrition. Currently, I am leading a regional research network - PACCMAN (Pediatric Acute & Critical Care Medicine Network) to study important pediatric critical illness in the region. Over the past 5 years, I have demonstrated a consistent record of productive research projects, publications and scientific endeavour in pediatric critical care.
