1. 2013- Ms. Valencia Foo (Year 3 medical student) – Abstract on ‘Chronic Kidney Disease and Diabetic Retinopathy in an Asian population’ was shortlisted for ‘Young Investigator’s Award (Clinical Research)’ at the Singapore General Hospital 20th Annual Scientific Meeting in April 2013
2. 2013- Ms. Valencia Foo (Year 3 medical student) was awarded Silver at the 9th Student Medical Education Conference of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS for the project, ‘Is Chronic Kidney Disease Associated with Diabetic Retinopathy in Asian Adults?’
3. 2015 –Ms. Tey Min Li (Year 3 medical student, NUS) was awarded SingHealth Medical Students Talent Development Award (SMSTDA) - Project (FY2015 Cycle 2 - $7,000) for the project, ‘The Development of a Glaucoma Utility Index in Singapore, including the Glaucoma Profile Instrument’.
4. 2015 - Dr. Wong Chee Wai awarded ‘Mentee in Training’ Award at ARVO 2015 for his work on ‘Increased Burden of Vision Impairment and Eye Diseases in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease’ published in EBiomedicine (IF= 8.143. I was the last and corresponding author).
5. 2015 - Dr. Wong Chee Wai awarded SingHealth Publish Award (Medical Research) for his paper on, ‘Kidney and eye diseases: common risk factors, etiological mechanisms, and pathways’ published in Kidney International (IF= 10.612, I was the last and corresponding author).
6. 2017 – Dr. Adeline Ng (NNI) was awarded New Investigator Grant (NIG) in 2017 (KCS mentee)
7. 2017 – Dr. Kiew Sieh Yean was awarded the first Runner-Up for Best Poster at the Macular Symposium 2017 for her work on ‘Diabetic nephropathy and risk of diabetic retinopathy in Asian Indians: The Singapore Indian Eye Study.
8. 2017- Dr. Kiew Sieh Yean was awarded the first prize at the 3rd SingHealth Duke-NUS Education Conference for her work on ‘The Implementation of a Cataract Simulator in Enhancing Residents' Surgical Performance in Phacoemulsification Surgery’
9. 2019- Ms. Clarissa Ng (Year 4 medical student, King’s College, London), was awarded SingHealth Medical Students Talent Development Award (SMSTDA- FY2019 - $7,000) Project: systemic review on obesity and eye diseases- manuscript is published in International Journal of Obesity (IF = 5.095, I was the last and corresponding author)
10. 2020 – Ms. Clarissa Ng, SingHealth Medical Students Talent Development Award (SMSTDA) – Travel award 2020 for a project on ‘Visual Impairment and Mortality -Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Diseases’ –manuscript was published in American Journal of Ophthalmology (IF= 5.258, I was the last and corresponding author).
11. 2021- Mr. Bjorn Kaijun Betzler, MBBS student at NUS (Year 4) - Abstract on ‘Association between BMI and CKD in Asian Populations: A Participant-level Meta- Analysis’ won the best poster in SingHealth Duke-NUS Scientific Congress.
12. 2021- Mr. Bjorn Kaijun Betzler, MBBS student at NUS (Year 4) was awarded SMSTDA FY2021 $7,000 (Cycle 2)

14. 2022- Guan Hui Yap, Medical officer, SNEC- Abstract on ‘Combined association of creatinine, cystatin C and albuminuria with risk of diabetic retinopathy in two Asian populations’, was shortlisted for ‘Young Investigator’s Award- Clinical Research’ in SGH 24th Annual Scientific Meeting
