Bio

Clinical Associate Professor Lim Soo Teik is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS). He is also the former Deputy Academic Vice Chair, Training & Education in the Cardiovascular Sciences Academic Clinical Programme.

Dr Lim’s subspecialty interest is in interventional cardiology, specializing in percutaneous coronary intervention, as well as peripheral vascular interventional treatment for diseases in carotid, renal, iliac and lower limb vessels. He has special interest in pulmonary hypertension. He leads the balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) program for the treatment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) in NHCS. 

Dr Lim is also a team member of the left atrial appendage closure and transcatheter aortic valve implantation programs. 

As immediate past Director of Medical Informatics of NHCS, Dr Lim dedicates substantial time to improve the health IT systems in NHCS and SingHealth. He currently chairs the projects for Cardiology Image and Information Management System and SingHealth ECG Management System.
