Bio
I completed my medical undergraduate education in 1999 and subsequently joined the Department of Paediatrics as a Basic Paediatric Trainee in May 2002. My interest has been in Paediatric Nephrology all along. My current appointment as Head, Nephrology Service has allowed the opportunity to consolidate the service further in terms of service delivery and also forge collaborations for education and research within KKH and with our partners in NUH.
My role in education started early during my registrar days subsequently expanded to include that of Training Director for the seamless BST/AST program and then the residency program as Associate Program Director (Senior Residency). I strongly believe that patient care should not center on care of body parts but each individual must be cared for as a whole. Thus, a solid and good foundation in General Paediatrics is vital for individual growth and subsequent development in any trainee in Paediatrics.
My current administrative role includes HOD for Department of Paediatrics and Academic Vice-Chair, Paediatrics Academic Clinical Program.
