Bio

Dr. Shuxun Ren is Senior Research Fellow in the CVMD at Duke-NUS Medical School. His recent research focuses on cardiovascular phenotyping core at Duke-NUS with ultrasonic imaging system, catheter transducer for measuring hemodynamic performance. 

He obtained training in surgery and medicine from Tianjin Medical University in the year 1985, Then he worked as an oncology surgeon in Tianjin cancer hospital. Dr. Ren did his postdoctoral training in cancer and cardiovascular disorders at Georgetown University and University of Maryland, USA. Since 2004, he has established the mouse physiology Core in the Division of Molecular Medicine, UCLA. As the Director of the Mouse Physiology Core, he was responsible to daily operations of mouse physiological studies including all surgical operations and much of the functional measurements.
