Duke-NUS Medical Alumni (DNMA) was registered with the Singapore Registry of Societies on 15 April 2013. Established by a pro tem committee comprising ten volunteers from the MD Class of 2011 and 2012, the alumni association aspires to represent and promote the interests of the alumni and Duke-NUS, playing a crucial role in helping the alumni to stay connected through a myriad professional, social and community service activities.

At the Duke-NUS’ inaugural fundraising and graduation Gala Dinner on 30 May 2013, Singapore’s President Tony Tan, together with some 900 distinguished guests, faculty, staff, graduates and parents, witnessed the official launch of the Duke-NUS Medical Alumni (DNMA) association and the conferment of DNMA’s first Honorary Membership to Mr Tony Chew. Mr Tony Chew was recognised for his extraordinary service to the School as well as to the wider community. As founding chairman of the Duke-NUS governing board from 2005 to 2012, Mr. Chew’s visionary leadership was instrumental to the School’s remarkable growth and accomplishments as well as Duke-NUS’ strong reputation as an internationally-acclaimed centre for medical education and research.
